According to the Governor, the RDC would either push for the bullet train system or revive the mothballed Northrail project that would link Metro Manila to the Clark International Aiprort in Pampanga.
The economy of the provinces in the surrounding areas of Luzon will surely boost with the implementation of the project, especially areas in the vicinity of Pampanga, Bulacan, Zambales, Bataan, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac and Aurora.
If the planned bullet train pushes through, the train will have coaches for economy cl(–foul word(s) removed–), business cl(–foul word(s) removed–) and executive cl(–foul word(s) removed–) aside from its freight lines.
According to Deo Manalo, director of project development service of the Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC), he disclosed that the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) had expressed interes in rehabilitating the Northrail project.
The Bulacan Governor added further that the Regional Development Council would recomment to Philippine President Benigno S. Aquino III to make the bullet train project a priority this year.
