Miss World 2013 Megan Young topped the “People of the Year” list of People Asia magazine as the reigning queen will be featured on the cover page of the magazine’s 14th anniversary issue(December-January 2014
Megan Young won the Miss World crown during the coronation night bested over 120 delegates all over the world at the 63rdedition of the pageant held on September 28 in Bali, Indonesia. and hailed as the first Filipina to win the much-coveted title.
Aside from the beauty queen, fourteen exceptional awards from different fields of endeavor will be given on other celebrities in the “People of the Year” list which includes Nora Aunor, Coco Martin, Kuh Ledesma, Brillante Mendoza and among others.
In the wake of super typhoon Yolanda, Megan Young’s innumerable effort in helping the survivors were also recognized in magazine such as her personal visit on the affected areas, her (–foul word(s) removed–)istance during relief efforts and other charity events.
The 23-year-old beauty queen went on simultaneous visitation after winning in the prestigious pageant and was last shown on TV5 mini series “Misibis Bay,” starring Ritz Asul who played the role of Lara Boromeo.
