The Bantayan Back to Sea Project initiated by Mr. Allan Monreal and Johanna Michelle Lim in Bantayan island got the backing of international organizations who are making fund raising campaign for the benefits of Bantayan Island fishermen.
According to the lates post from the Official FB Page of Bantayan Back to Sea, the project already grew from a single boat repair station to a wholistic organization that has the ability to change lives.
After a month of operation since typhoon Yolanda hit Bantayan Island, the group itself has been surprised at how organic the movement was. The people behind the Back to Sea is very grateful with the help of the national and international organizations helping in the rebuilding not only the boats but also the lives of the fishermen in Bantayan Island.
