The Argentine boxer Maidana threw away hard punches to Adrien Broner with both hands even in early first round of the match. In the second round of the title-fight, Maidana landed a big left hand on Broner’s chin and the title-holder went down.

Adrien Broner got up but he was hurt with the punch that landed by Maidana on him, who punished the champion with back to back punches to the head and body.

During the eight round of the Maidana vs. Broner title match, Marcos Maidana landed a three punch combination which sent Broner down for the second time around.

Adrien Broner tried his best in the last remaining rounds but the judges in-charge of the game decided at the end of the 12-round match giving Marcos Maidana the score card advantage. Maidana captured the WBA welterweight title in one of the most decisive win in boxing for the year 2013.
