Sinag Pilipinas Defeats Myanmar by 75 Points in SEA Games Basketball

The Philippine men’s national basketball team, Sinag Pilipinas, continued its winning streak in the 27th Southeast Asian Games as they were able to defeat the host team Myanmar with a huge margin of 75 points on Thursday.

Sinag Pilipinas defeated Myanmar with the final score at 118-43 through the leadership of Ronald Pascual who came off the bench and scored with 20 points to secure the Philippines unbeaten record of three consecutive wins.

Mark Belo contributed with 17 points for the Sinag Pilipinas, also known as the Gilas Pilipinas cadet team. Kevin Ferrer also added with 13 points. The Philippines started their rally with 19 points lead in the first quarter.

During the fourth quarter of the game the Philippine squad scored with 30 points while the host team, Myanmar was only held with just six points. The Filipinos registered with 68 points scoring inside the paint.

The Philippines debuted their SEA Games basketball campaign with an 88-75 win over Singapore followed by a 107-57 win over Cambodia during their second match.
