BIR Quezon City Runs After Six Delinquent Taxpayers

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) is running after the delinquent taxpayers in Quezon City.

According to the statement of BIR, the region no. 7 Quezon City sued six delinquent taxpayers for unpaid deficiency taxes amounting to P57.30 million.

These were the list changed with willful failure to pay deficiency taxes:

  •  (1) LVS Glimpex Philippines Corp. and its president Bonifacio V. Ladia (P4.83 million for taxable year 2008)
  • (2) Manling Uy Lim of Little Bebe Baby Products and ACC Center ( P4.13 million for 2007)
  • (3) Inocencio D. Honrubia of Havilah Enterprises (P14.46 million for 2007)
  • (4) Autohub Inc, its president Jerome M. Lapuz and treasurer Theresa A. Lapuz (P1.32 million for 2007)
  • (5) Ma. Rowena Rose N. Villavicencio of White Gold Petroleum (P30.72 million for 2006)
  • (6) Yoshimoto Pole Construction Philippines and its President Florante A. Galinato (P1.84 million for 2002)

In the official statement of BIR regional director Amora said, “We intend to vigorously pursue cases against taxpayers with tax arrears or unpaid taxes. Make no mistake about it, we will collect the taxes due from these taxpayers and hale them to court if they give us no choice. Unpaid taxes stall delivery of government services, retard progress and development and eventually, impede nation-building.”

BIR also confirmed that these six delinquent taxpayers have obstinately failed or refused to pay their long overdue deficiency taxes, despite repeated demands and exhaustion of administrative remedies.
