Armless Fil-Am Pilot Jessica Cox to Help Disabled Typhoon Victims

The Armless Filipino-American Jessica Cox went to Philippines to serve as a motivational speaker with the survivors of super typhoon Yolanda (International name Haiyan).

Cox’s great-aunt was among the thousands who lost their lives because during the storm surge she drowned when she was going down to the first floor which hits close to their home.

Most of Cox relatives live in the town of Mercedes in the municipality of Guiuan in Eastern Samar, an area where the typhoon devastated.

Cox visited their place numerous times and she was there last February, yet she has the feeling that when she go back, Cox won’t be able to recognize the place.

Cox added that in the times of crisis Filipino should unite not only to survive but to rebuild.

Cox joined the kababayans across the country in raising funds for the victims of typhoon Yolanda especially those with disability.

Fil-Am Pilot Jessica urge to help the disabled victims the best way that she can be and for her the best thing to do right now is to get the word out that they were collecting funds because Handicap International is on the ground working to help all the victims.

Cox hope to return in Eastern Samar on March 2014.
