According to Houssam’s account Grace spent four days in horrendous conditions that have left her in bad shape right after the incident that almost took his life. Houssam decided to take her fiance to a better hospital in Cebu where she begun the long process of recovery.

Some of Grace injuries includes cuts on her face, critical eye trauma, a fractured jaw and a broken ulna and wrist aside from the infection in her leg which put her at risk of losing it.

The Canadian national Houssam was also thankful to Coast Guard Lieutenant who was only identified as Lt. Ramirez who (–foul word(s) removed–)isted him and Grace with his family to secure a ticket for their trip to Cebu after he found out that the clinic where Grace was first admitted failed to do the necessary treatment to the victim.
