Jessica Sanchez to Sing Philippine National Anthem on Pacquiao vs. Rios Match

Filipino-American international singer Jessica Sanchez agreed to sing the Philippine national anthem in the upcoming welterweight showdown between Filipino boxing icon Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and Mexican-American boxer Brandon “Bam Bam” Rios.

Manny Pacquiao invited the American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez to sing for his highly-anticipated fight with Brandon Rios one of the most promising Mexican-American boxer, through Pacquiao’s official Twitter account.

The Filipino-American singer who has a Mexican blood, Jessica Sanchez responded and agreed with the invitation made by Manny Pacquiao. The Pacquiao vs. Rios fight is scheduled this coming Saturday, November 23 (US Time), Sunday in the Philippines November 24, 2013.

Pacquiao tweeted and asked Sanchez if she will “do me the honor of singing the national anthem before our fight?”

Jessica Sanchez responded with the following message “Yes! I’m honored! ! RT @MannyPacquiao: @jessicaesanchez would you do me the honor of singing the national anthems before our fight? #PacRios” Jessica tweeted.

Jessica Sanchez was also present during Manny Pacquiao’s fight last June 2012 against Timothy Bradley singing the national anthem of the United States of America. Manny suffered a controversial lost against Bradley during the said event.

Right now Manny Pacquiao is seeking to end his two-fight losing streak against Rios, after he was knocked out by Mexican rival Juan Manuel Marquez during the hotly-contest boxing match last December 2012.
