San Beda Forego Lavish Celebration for Typhoon Yolanda Victims

The San Beda Red Lions successfully defended their title for the last four years in the NCAA after they defeated the Letran Knights on Saturday with the final score at 60-56. The success of San Beda was dedicated to the victims of typhoon Yolanda as the Red Lions decided to forego a lavish celebration.

The Red Lions will just celebrate their title run with a m(–foul word(s) removed–) and a dinner as confirmed by Team Manager Jude Roque. The Players of the Red Lions will also participate in relief efforts for those affected by the worst typhoon that hits the Philippines.

The participation of San Beda Red Lions in the country’s relief efforts followed the lead made by NCAA as they pledged earlier P100,000 for relief operations.

The San Beda Red Lions prevailed against their rival, the Letran Knights in a thrilling Game Three in the NCAA Finals and won their 18th championship title, the most number of wins by any NCAA team.
