The Australian international journalist Ana Coren described the devastation in the three municipalities of Bantayan Island, the town of Bantayan, Madridejos and Sta. Fe.

According to the 38-year-old Ana Coren of CNN, the island of Bantayan was isolated to the mainland of Cebu, some of the islets in Bantayan were wiped out by super typhoon Yolanda. Coren reported live from Mactan, Cebu while CNN anchor Anderson Cooper who is leading the CNN’s Philippine Team is currently in Tacloban City.

Ana Coren was quoted on her report about Bantayan Island, ““They need food and water. Despite (–foul word(s) removed–)urances from the government, aid has yet to arrive. The problem is logistics.” Coren stated.
