Anderson Cooper, one of the world’s most respected journalist from CNN reported the difficulties and shortcomings of the local relief efforts in the Philippines particularly in the worst-hit areas of Tacloban City, Leyte in Central Philippines.

The CNN anchor and veteran journalists commented his observations with the recent relief and recovery efforts of the Philippine government. The statement made by Cooper went viral on various social media networks.

The 46-year-old international reporter also posted his comments on his official Twitter account. Anderson was quoted as saying that, “You would expect perhaps to see a feeding center that had been set up 5 days after the storm,” Cooper said.

He added further that, “We haven’t seen that, certainly not in this area. Some food is being brought to people here at the airport, some water being distributed but these are very, very difficult conditions for the people here on the ground and it’s not clear how much longer it can be continue like this. Something’s got to give.” Anderson Cooper stated.
