Rocelle Agang, a Facebook user berated the victims of the worst typhoon that hit the Philippines last week. The Facebook user Rocelle posted on her wall the following message.
“Merese sa mga kababayan nako sa visayas! Kay nga bati ug batasan mo mga hayop kayo! Sigi pa bagyo pa para washout na ang mga tao diyan sa visayas!!! Buti na lang dia ko manila kay mayaman na ako di na ako dukha katulad ng mga tao sa tacloban!!! Hahahhahahah sige pa bagyong zoraida!!! cheers!!!:))”
The Facebook user Rocelle Agang came under fire after her message went viral online with thousands of Filipinos posting comments on social media and putting her comments on various feeds on Facebook.
Upon learning her mistake, Rocelle immediately posted on Facebook that she was just joking, but the damage have been done already with netizens attacking her Facebook account.
Here’s her statement of apology of what she has done to her fellow Visayans.
Filipino netizens who are currently grieving with the huge lost of properties and lives in various provinces affected by super typhoon Yolanda was angered by the racist comments posted by Rocelle Agang.

At first I thought someone was using your picture to bully you and I felt bad for you. But to find out you are joking about this situation is just ridiculous. You should be embarr(removed)ed of yourself. Why would you joke about something so serious? First of all you are a disgrace to the Filipino culture. How can you say that to people who lost a loved one? Second who are you to say you are lucky your rich? Girl, did you work hard for that money or was it just handed to you on a silver platter?

Actually… She used to be a maid of my cousin. Nagulat kami lahat nung nabasa namin yung comment nya na yun, and to think she is from Leyte. My cousin who used to hire her even reprimanded her thru text but she never replied. Then we just saw that apology posted on her FB page. She changed her number ever since we started texting her non-stop.
