The Iglesia Ni Cristo worship center in Tacloban City, one of the worst-hit areas by Typhoon Yolanda, was one of the few buildings left standing after the devastation brought about by typhoon Yolanda.
Aside from the strong winds that hit the city, the storm surge also devastated the progressive City of Tacloban, the capital of the Province of Leyte. The Iglesia Ni Cristo worship center in Tacloban has become a shelter for typhoon victims in the City as reported by INC’s online news website EagleNews.ph.

The INC website reported the following families currently housed at the worship center:
- Balais family
- De Mesa family
- Janice Delleva
- Labadora family
- Lorna and Lorina Sabino
- Noemi Delleva
- Ryan Eladro
- Sansub family
- Saranillo family
- Tebrero family
- Villazorda family
The news reports made by INC sheltering Typhoon Yolanda victims is one of the proof that the allegations in one of their worship center in Iloilo is a heresy. The Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) is a Christian denomination religion that originated in the Philippines in 1914 under founder Felix Manalo.
Based upon the 2000 Philippine census by the NSO, around 2.3% of the population in the Philippines are affiliated with the Iglesia Ni Cristo, making it the third largest denomination in the Philippines after the Roman Catholic Church and Islam.
