The eye of Typhoon “YOLANDA” was located at 147 km west of Roxas City (11.6°N, 121.4°E).

Issued at 5:00 pm, 08 November 2013

TYPHOON “YOLANDA” HAS MAINTAINED ITS STRENGTH AS IT APPROACH THE CALAMIAN GROUP OF ISLAND.

Location of eye/center: At 4:00 PM today, the eye of Typhoon “YOLANDA” was located based on all available data including Mactan Doppler Radar at 115 km west of Roxas City or over the water off the western coast of Antique. (11.4°N, 121.7°E).

Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 215kph near the center and gustiness of up to 250 kph.

The eye of Typhoon “YOLANDA” was located offshore of Tibiao, Antique (11.3°N, 121.9°E).

The eye of Typhoon “YOLANDA” was at the vicinity of Tapaz, Capiz (11.3°N, 122.4°E).

(1PM November 8, 2013)

The eye of Typhoon “YOLANDA” was at the vicinity of Cuartero, Capiz (11.3°N, 122.8°E) with maximum sustained winds of 200 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 230 kph.

Typhoon “YOLANDA” has made fifth landfall over Concepcion, Iloilo. (12PM November 8, 2013)

Typhoon “YOLANDA” has made fourth landfall over Bantayan Island, Cebu (10:40AM). Announced by PAGASA on their official Facebook account.

Typhoon “YOLANDA” has made third landfall over Daanbantayan, Cebu (9:40AM).

The eye of Typhoon “YOLANDA” was located at the coast of Palompon, Leyte (11.0°N, 124.4°E) with maximum sustained winds of 215 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 250 kph. (9AM November 8, 2013)
