GMA-7’s veteran news anchor Arnold Clavio made headlines in the latest controversy that are currently making the rounds on the internet after his unprofessional video interview with Janet Napoles lawyer, Atty. Alfredo Villamor.
The 48-year-old Kapuso anchor was also caught himself in hot water for castigating on-air two foreign-bred Filipino players of the Philippine Azkals who were charged by a FIFA official, the outburst drew sharp reaction from the PFF who demanded for public apology which Claudio responded by issuing a statement pleading for understanding.
Earlier this year, Arnold Clavio once again made headlines on social media and became a heroic figure for slamming Vice Ganda for making fun of colleague and fellow Kapuso broadcaster Jessica Soho during Vice Ganda’s concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. His comments was favored by the public and Vice Ganda was left no choice but to make an emotional apology.
From a hero, Arnold Clavio is now a villain to thousands of netizens who reacted negatively to his side comments and the way he conducted the interview with one of his guest, Atty. Villamor.

Alfredo Villamor (Napoles’ lawyer in the Illegal Detention case) by Arnold Clavio is probably the best example of what a broadcaster should never be like, on and off camera. Or should I say what any person, regardless of profession or stature, should never be like under any circumstance. Bastos, arogante, pilosopo, mayabang. And to think that Arnold Clavio supposedly owns Solid Ground School at Tabang, Plaridel, Bulacan. What do we expect children to learn from a school owned by someone like him? His ad sponsors must think twice before getting his endorsements. The Integrated Bar of the Philippines must do something about this insolence against a fellow lawyer by Arnold Clavio. Tulfo pag ganyang pagkakataon mga researchers nya sinasabon nya kpag may kulang s info or mali sila ng natwagan.. open din sya mag acknowledge ng mga pgkakamali nila if meron man. After I watched the interview of Mr. Arnold Clavio on the attorney I was very disappointed of how he act on the said interview, he should be more considerate on the answers that was given by the attorney and he should definitely act as a professional journalist since i was on my school days i was really a fan of GMA news team and he was one my favorite journalist but after watching this conversation i was able to disrespect him cause he showed me his rudeness and unethical way of talking to that person on air. Please Mr. Clavio be professional not to personal and don’t bring your problems at work i know your professional but on this video you showed all the people of how carried the GMA news team on the edge of shame and insult.
