Rubilen Amit Winner of Women’s World 10 Ball Title 2013 (Video)

Philippine pride Rubilen “Bingkay” Amit dominated the 2013 Yalin Women’s World 10 Ball Title after she won against Kelly Fisher of England in the finals on November 4, 2013 at the Resorts World Manila.

Watch the video report from Bandila:

The Mandaue City-born billiard player, Rubilen Amit replicated her 2009 victory via 10-7 decision against England’s women’s billiard champion. Amit was also the winner of the same competition in 2009 by defeating Shin Lei Lu of Chinese Taipei in the finals.

The 2011 Women’s World 10 Ball champion Kelly Fisher won the first two racks during the final encounter with Amit, but the Filipina billiard queen took rack three with a sensation two-rail kick on an obscure nine ball that also gave her a perfect shape on the 10 ball.

Fisher was leading with 3-1 but Amit reeled off three racks on the trot to take a 4-3 advantage. Amit should have gone 5-3 ahead but she scratched on the ten ball, resulting in a 4-4 score card. England’s Fisher broke and ran out on the next rack then Amit missed the ten in rack ten, allowing Fisher to charge ahead 6-4.

At 7-7 Fisher was destined to capture the title when Amit bungled the three, but Fisher jawed the five, allowing Amit to take the lead at 8-7. Fisher blundered once again in rack fifteen, scratching on the seven ball and Amit clean up for the hill. Fisher sealed her fate by making one final error, a miss on a highly makeable eight ball, which permitted Amit to calmly run on the last three balls for the victory.
