The scene which shows, Jessy Mendiola as “Maria Mercedes” created a stir online, which featured the 20-year-old actress seen on vacation at the beach with Luis, played by Jake Cuenca and her younger brother, Andres which was played by Yogo Singh.
The scene featuring Jessy Mendiola wearing a white bathing suit dominated the worldwide Twitter trending topics as netizens aired their reactions to her attire and her wonderful curved showcased on that particular scene.
The Wednesday’s episode centered on the blooming relationship of Maria Mercedes and Luis. Aside from the teleserye’s successful conquest at the top trending topics on micro-blogging site, “Maria Mercedes” also got bigger numbers in nationwide TV ratings, according to multinational market research group Kantar Media.
The October 30’s episode of Maria Mercedes garnered almost double the viewership of its competing program aired on GMA 7, “Akin Pa Rin Ang Bukas,” which got just 10.7% compared to the ratings of Maria Mercedes at 20.3%.
