33,734 to Take PNP Entrance & Promotional Exam on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013

The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) announced on its official website on Friday, October 18, that there will be a total of 33,734 examinees will take the PNP Entrance and Promotional Examination which will be held this coming Sunday, October 20, 2013.

Out of the 33,734 number of registrants there will be 13,651 examinees who will take the PNP Entrance Examination while the rest are distributed to the various promotional test categories.

According to NAPOLCOM, the examinations will cover the qualifying examination for Police Officer I while the promotional exams will be for Police Officers 2 and 3; Senior Police Officer (SPO1 to SPO4); Police Inspector (Inspector and Senior Inspector); and Police Superintendent (Chief Superintendent and Superintendent).

The October 2013 PNP Entrance and Promotional Examination covers general information, verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning and logical reasoning, while the promotion exams incluce general info, police administration and operations, and police customs and traditions/values and ethical standards.

NAPOLCOM advised that a proper dress code must be strictly observed during the day of examination. Entrance takers should wear plain white t-shirt or polo shirt, dark pants and shoes. Promotional examinees are required to GOA Type B or the PNP Patrol Uniform.

What to bring during the examination: Reminders

  • Examinees should bring the Notice of Admission (NoA)
  • pencil (no. 2) and black ball pen
  • any valid identification card with picture and signature.
  • Bringing of cellular phones, electronic gadgets, pagers or any two-way radio set, calculators, review materials, explosives, or deadly weapons inside the test center is strictly prohibited.
  • Cheating, impersonation, perjury or violation of examination rules shall be dealt with administratively and/or criminally,
  • Anyone found guilty will have his eligibility and exam result invalidated.
