SSS Officials Bonus Received Reached P10 Million

The Social Security System officials received more than P10 million bonuses during the year 2012 as confirmed by the SSS President and CEO Emilio de Quiroz. The bonuses received by the SSS officials received some harsh and negative comments from ordinary SSS members.

The SSS President added further that the SSS bonuses were also given to employees of the SSS based upon their performance. The bonuses were approved by Governance Commission on Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations. A tota of P276 million million were given to SSS Officilas nationwide.

Some officials of the SSS received bonuses averaging more than P1 million in 2012. The bonuses were based on the performance-based incentive system entitled to GOCCs employees with good governance.

According to the Governance Commission for GOCCs’ Memorandum Circular No. 2012-14, GOCCs are entitled incentives for good performance, good governance conditions, and when they have paid taxes and dividends to government

Here’s the Lists of SSS Official’s Bonuses:

  • Juan Santos, Chairman – P1.176 million
  • Emilio De Quiros Jr., Vice chairman – P1.04 million
  • Diana Pardo-Aguilar, board member – P1.336 million
  • Daniel Edralin, board member – P1.128 million
  • Eliza Antonio, board member – P968,000
  • Marianita Mendoza, board member – P1.024 million
  • Ibarra Malonzo, board member – P1.416 million
  • Bienvenido Laguesma, board member – P1.304 million

The SSS is also expecting another bonus for the year 2013 as the agency is nearing its target income for this year. They government agency will also implement the latest contribution table for the year 2014 starting on January.
