Sen. Mirriam Santiago Revealed “Pork Barrel Warriors” on PDAF Controversy

Senator Mirriam Defensor-Santiago revealed during an interview with Radyo Inquirer 990 AM on Tuesday that Janet Lim-Napoles got the nerve to tell lies from her “Pork Barrel Warriors.”

According to the 68-year-old Senator, Napoles was defended by her pork barrel warriors, she was even quoted as saying that, “Her (Napoles) pork barrel warriors defend and protect her. These men are hiding, buried and embedded in the implementing agencies, worst, in the Senate and Congress,” Sen. Santiago stated.

Senator Santiago was certain also that there were many possible brains, not only Napoles, behind the scheme diverting congressional funds to ghost projects and dummy organizations (NGO’s).

The formidable Senator from the Visayas region mentioned that two of the probable masterminds include the head of the implementing agencies and the PDAF-releasing office, Department of Budget and Management, headed by Sec. Florencio Abad.

Some of the witnesses of the pork barrel scam have implicated DBM as an accessory to the PDAF scheme, noting the 15% share the agency gets before approving project funds for Napoles’ ghost projects.

During the Senate hearing for the Plunder Case filed by the camp of whistleblower Benhur Luy, they revealed that a whopping 40 t0 60 percent of the millions of peso-fund allegedly went to the pockets of lawmakers, who were cohorts of Napoles.
