The Philippines most popular mayor in southern part of the country, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte driving a taxi has gone viral on various social networking sites.

During an interview with ABS-CBN, Mayor Duterte confirmed that he sometimes drives taxi to personally monitor the situation in the city. He added that his p(–foul word(s) removed–)engers get to ride the taxi for free.
The picture of Mayor Duterte driving a taxi was first posted on the Facebook Page of Davao’s Pride (Official) with the following caption in Cebuano and Filipino Language:
“Ang sweldo sa Mayor Kulang! Mao na Magdrive Ko og taxi magabii. Para Madugang-dugang. Tinuod na, Panginabuhi. Maayo unta og Congressman ta.// Ang Tinuod, gusto ko makakita sa hulagway sa Davao sa tinuod. Magdrive ko og Taxi tapos muhunong ko og usa ka Kanto. Unya kung Mangholdap ka, Malas nalang gyud nimo…”
“Ang sweldo ng Mayor ay hindi sapat! Kaya nagdrive ako ng taxi sa gabi. Para naman madagdagan ang kita ko. Totoo yan, hanapbuhay. Buti sana kung Congressman ako. Ang totoo, gusto ko makita ang toong mukha ng Davao City. Nagmamaneho ako ng taxi tapos hihinto ako sa mga kanto. Pero kung mangholdap ka, Malas mo lang.”
