Jessie Ray Clasicas: Bronze Medalist in the World Cocktail Championship in Praque

Jessie Ray Clasicas who worked for the Hyatt Regency Hotel and Casino Manila has won the bronze in the recently concluded World Cocktail Championship held in Praque, Czech Republic.

The Filipino bartender ranked number 3 in the world’s prestigious cocktail championship which saw competitors from around 60 countries competing in different categories. Competitors are judged based on how they concoct their cocktails while a separate set of judges rate the taste.

Jessie Ray Clasicas showed graced and textbook execution in the “Fancy Cocktail” category with his entry “Blazing Star” on his way to a third place finish behind Ireland’s Diedre Byrne and Uruguay’s Juan Berrutti.

During an interview with the Philippine Star, Jessie Ray was quoted as saying, “I am so pleased to represent the Philippines in the World Cocktail Championship and winning bronze medal is such an amazing honor,” Clasicas said.

The bronze medalist in the World Cocktail Championship adds further that, “I want to express my deepest gratitude to the Philippine Bartenders’ League (PBL) and the Interational Bartenders’ (–foul word(s) removed–)ociation (IBA) for giving me the opportunity to have a glorious and happy memory that I can look back to for years to come. I am truly honored to receive this award.” Jessie Ray stated.

Jessie Ray Clasicas represent the country after winning the Bartenders Masters Series Clash of Champions organized by the PBL last June.
