Megan Lynne Young is considered as one of the heavy favorite in this year’s edition of Miss World Philippines. The 23-year-old Megan Young is candidate No. 20 of Miss World Philippines (MWP) 2013.

The actress was born on February 27, 1990 and and she holds a dual citizenship, Filipino-American. Megan made a name for herself when she joined the Star Magic Batch 15 of ABS-CBN and became famous for being one of the celebrity housemate in Pinoy Big Brother. Aside from being a Kapamilya star she also worked earlier as one of the “Starstruck” alumnae and member of the GMA Artist Center, but she later decided to transfer to ABS-CBN.

Megan Young has been studying Digital Film making at the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. During her stint at the PBB House, she was nicknamed as “The Princess of Charm,” because she relies everything to someone who does chores for her.

Currently Megan Young is one of the stars in TV5 being featured in various series such as “Never Say Goodbye,” and “Misibis Bay.” Megan has a sister who is a showbiz personality also, Laureen Young, a member of Star Magic Batch 13.

    When you use the phrase “one of the —–,” the noun that is immediately following should be in plural form…as in…”one of the heavy favorites,” “one of the celebrity housemates,” “one of the Starstruck alumnae,” “one of the stars….”
    For your own good, as a writer, put this rule in your head so that the next time people read an article of yours in some publication, they will be impressed…and put you a notch higher among Filipino English-language writers.
    I do not mean to be condescending. I just want to help you. You can also improve this article by restructuring your sentences so that the flow of thoughts and ideas are clearer and more organized. You can start by using short, concise sentences to convey your thoughts, for starters. To top it all, nothing beats reading any book, magazine, newspaper or any other written material that you could get your hands on, to improve your style and vocabulary. Good luck.
