Sunshine Cruz Files Case Against Cesar Montano for Violation of RA 9262

Actress Sunshine Cruz filed a complaint-affidavit against her estranged husband Cesar Montano for the violation of Republic Act 9262 or Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act.

Sunshine Cruz was accompanied by her lawyer Atty. Bonifacio Alentajan, they submitted their affidavit in front of (–foul word(s) removed–)istant City Presecutor Edilu Hayag at the Quezon City Hall of Justice on Tuesday morning, August 13, 2013. Atty. Alentajan is also the godfather of both Cesar Montano and Sunshine Cruz.

The actress did not give further details when asked by the media regarding the case filed against her husband but urged the press to read the affidavit given to the media by her camp, that according to the actress detailed how she was abused by her husband.

The lawyer of Sunshine also stated that all kinds of abuse was experienced by her client at the hands of Cesar such as psychological, emotional and financial abuse.

According to a report made by Pep.ph, the affidavit described Cesar Montano as “very domineering, philandeering husband.” The affidavit also stated that, “[Cesar] demanded full submission and obedience from complainant (Sunshine Cruz), while he continually prohibits the latter from inquiring on his own affairs.”
