Iran Defeated Malaysia 115-25 During the FIBA Asia 2013 Highlights Video

Powerhouse team Iran defeated lowly Malaysia by showing no mercy ending the gmae with 115-25 conquest during the opening match of the FIBA Asia 2013 at the Mall of Asia Arena on August 1, 2013.

The Group C match in the preliminary round of the tournament features Iran as they went on with a knockout punch at the end of first quarter outscoring Malaysia with 42-3 markers, the biggest lead in the tournament so far. The powerhouse Iran only allowed a single field goal for Malaysia, a three-pointer by Wen Keong Tong.

For the second quarter, the Iranian rested it’s starters and ended the first half with 57-13 advantage. Iran opened the third quarter with 33-0 run. Malaysia was allowed to score with just two points before the start of the fourth quarter.

NBA veteran center Hamed Haddadi scored 21 points in just 13 minutes on the floor while his backup Asghar Kardoust posted 15 points for Iran.

Malaysian guard Hong Hoong Gaan led his team with 11 points while the Iranians are expected to encounter a tougher opposition this coming Friday as it faces the dangerous South Koreans. Malaysia will face the depending champion China in its second (–foul word(s) removed–)ignment on Friday.
