China’s national basketball team have already submitted their official line-up for the FIBA Asia Championship 2013 to be held this coming August 1-11, 2013. The Chinese team is considered as one of the top contenders in Asia’s highly-anticipated basketball event.
The Chinese national teams have been busy for the past few days in preparation for the FIBA Asia 2013 in Manila. The team left one of their veteran center Wang Zhizhi, but they are still the biggest team to beat. The depending Asian champion will feature three 7-footers on their line-up.
NBA veteran and 7-footer player Yi Jianlian is expected to lead the team with the support of 7-foot teenager Wang Zhelin and the 21-year-old Li Muhao who stands at 7-foot-2.
China also features veteran team members such as 6-foot-10 center Li Xioxu, a member of the national team to the 2010 FIBA World Championship and veteran campaigner, 6-foot-9 Zhou Peng. Their veteran point guard Sun Yue stands at 6-foot-9 also played for the LA Lakers is still active for China.
Greek Coach is currently leading the charge for Chinese bench as they displayed an impressive form ahead of the FIBA Asia Championship, defeating European teams Iceland, Macedonia, and Montenegro in tuneup matches this week.
