SONA 2013 Fashion Statement Dresses & Attires (Photos)

The SONA 2013 of President Aquino is also the time for a fashion display of the Philippines most recognized personalities, leaders and families politicians. The country’s female senators are wearing their elegant dresses as they attend the State of the Nation Address.

Senator Loren Legarda wears two outfits, both featuring indigenous fabrics, the first one is a red beaded outfit of the Gaddang people’s of the Mountain Province, which is composed of a skit, blouse and belt, and accessorized with a Bontoc necklace. The second outfit of Sen. Legarda is a Nabal abaca cloth turned into a skirt.

Senator Cynthia Villar is set to wear two outfits today, the first being an orange modern kimono with flower embroidery by her cousin, designer Noli Hans. During the SONA, she will wear a terno with mocha French tulle, a swag of orange chiffon, and embroidered lace. Sen. Cayetano wears two gowns for today’s occasion, a blck and white backless dress in tulle and stretch jersey fabric, and a black modern Filipiniana silk gown by designer Mia Urquico.
