UST Defeated UE Clinched 3-1 Record

The University of Sto. Tomas Growling Tigers made a late 10-0 run to defeat the Fil-Oil Champion, UE Red Warriors with the final score at 88-77 despite the absence of their superstar player Jeric Teng who was injured during their last game against NU.

The win against the Red Warriors put the Tigers in second place of team  standing as they posted a 3-1 win-loss record, only one game behind league-leading team, FEU that posted a 4-0 win-loss card.

UST’s Karim Abdul topscored for the team as he scored with a career-high 25 points while Aljon Mariano scored a season-high 24 points while reserve guard Ed Daquioag finished with his own career-high 19 points.

Meanwhile the University of the East was led by superstar Roi Sumang who poured out 20 points of his 21 total in the last two quarters, but couldn’t slow the UST rally in the final minutes.  With the UE Red Warriors loss, the team dropped down to 1-3 win-loss card in the Season 76 of the UAAP. UE currently ranked at the 6th spot.
