Controversial Kapuso actress Sarah Lahbati has returned to the Philippines to clear her name in connection a libel case filed against her by GMA Network. The 19-year-old actress posted bail for the case at the Makati City Regional Trial Court, hours later after she arrived.
Sarah Lahbati arrived from Switzerland on late Thursday after her 6-month stay in Europe. The libel case was filed against Labhati by GMA Films president Atty. Annette Gozon-Abrogar, in connection with a series of posts made by the actress on micro-blogging site Twitter about the alleged mishandling of her career.
The actress who is romantically linked to fellow Kapuso star Richard Gutierrez was quoted as saying during her returned to the Philippines. She stated that, “I’m back just to fix things. Bumalik ako para ayusin ang mga dapat ayusin at katulad nga po ng sabi ni attorney (her legal counsel Atty. Maggie Abraham), eh maayos na, wala nang libel case. Sana matapos na to nang maayos, and I’m happy na the first step is done,” Labhati stated.
The appearance of Sarah Lahbati and her returned to the Philippines ended the rumors that she is currently pregnant, rumors have spread online for the past few months, that the reason why Sarah went to Switzerland was because of her pregnancy.
