The lone PBA player who was named as Rookie of the Year and MVP within the same year, Benjie Paras clarified and denied the issue that he was asking his two sons not to see their mother, actress Jackie Forster.
The issue started when the former wife of Benjie Paras cried foul after watching an interview of their sons Andre and Kobe. Jodie Forster made a statement through social media that she was hurt when Andre asked her to give them space.
The issue became hotter when Andre expressed their love to their stepmother, Lyxen Diomampo. Benjie Paras clarified the issue and he was quoted as saying that, “Yung mga anak ko ang magde-decide niyan …Hindi po ako ang may ayaw. Matatanda na po ang anak ko at madami (lang kasing) matatalinong tao na nakikisawsaw sa social media,” Paras said in an interview on Tuesday.
Paras admitted that he was also caught by surprise with the interview, saying he was also hurt with what his sons said about their biological mother. The interview of Benjie Paras was made during the press conference of the upcoming drama series, “Got To Believe.”
