Filipino graduates in Information Technology (IT) courses will soon realize that the they have chosen the right course once they enter the job market according to a research firm, Headhunters.
Headhunters stated that IT graduates already receive P30,000 t0 P60,000 as their entry-level salaries. The mid-level programmers have salaries from P70,000 all the way to P100,000 a month.
According to JobsDB head of executive research Tina Rodriguez, the IT industry “pays very well.” She added that there’s a strong demand for IT executives and managers.
Meanwhile, the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry is the other industry that gives hefty paychecks. BPO salaries is at least P70,000 to P80,000 for those that are not in the managerial levels.
The above-mentioned salaries are applicable in Metro Manila areas while provincial cities such as Cebu are slowly coping up with the entry-level salaries for IT graduates.
