Jericho Rosales Awarded Best Actor in Newport for “Alagwa”

Veteran Kapamilya actor Jericho Rosales added another international distinction to his career as he was awarded with Best Actor Award at the Newport Beach Film Festival for his indie film titled “Alagwa.”

The 33-year-old hunk actor made the announcement through his official Twitter account on his post on Saturday, May 4. The story of Alagwa is all about the human trafficking.

It was based upon an urban legend in Manila’s Chinatown, the director of the movie, Ian Lorenos grew at the said place. The director stated that the story revolved about the urban legend.

The indie film Alagwa have already received numerous international citations such as the ASEAN International Film Festiva and the Philippine Movie Press Club. Aside from Jericho Rosales, the son of “Alagwa” portrayed by Bugoy Cariño also won an award for his acting.
