TUCP Endorsed Bro. Eddie Villanueva for Senator

The Senatorial bid of Bro. Eddie Villanueva got another boost as the workers group, the Trade Union Congress of the Philippines endorsed his candidacy for Senatorial seat.

Bro. Eddie Villanueva thanked on Wednesday the support of the TUCP and he reiterated his commitment to uphold the workers’ rights in the country. The religious leader turned-politician was quote as saying that:

“I thank from the bottom of my hear the TUCP for their endorsement. Coming at a significant time on Labor Day, it underscores our commitment to workers rights,” Villanueva said.

According to the no. 31 candidate, Bro. Eddie, the platform of Bangon Pilipinas is attuned to the needs of the workers, with the party’s commitment to establish an economics for the fringes which is meant to address the plight of the workers.

Villanueva also added that his legislative agenda in the Senate, “will focus on coming up with a real living wage,” noting that the minimum wage has yet to catch up with the cost of living.
