Baguio City Earthquake 4.5 in Magnitude (February 4, 2013)

Baguio City was hit by a shallow earthquake on Monday afternoon at around 3:16 PM based upon the reports relayed by the Philippine Volcanology and Seismology (Philvolcs).

According to the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) in the Cordillera Region, the earthquake was located 13 kilometers southeast of Baguio. The earthquake’s depth was recorded at 12 kilometers.

Intensity 5 were raised in Baguio City. Intensity 2 was felt also in Agoo, La Union, and San Fernando according to Philvolcs. Some electrical wiring in Baguio swayed as the ground shook for at least five seconds.

As of this posting there’s no received report of earthquake-related damage.
