Judy Ann Santos Not Guilty of Tax Evasion

Former Kapamilya primetime princess Judy Ann Santos was already by the Court of Tax Appeals (CTA), for tax evasion. According to the decision by Third Division (–foul word(s) removed–)ociate Justices Lovell Bautista and Amelia Cotangco-Manalastas, the CTA was absolved in the tax evasion case.

The main reason why the actress has been cleared by CTA is because she only underdeclared her income. Although cleared for tax evasion, Santos was will have to pay over P3.4 Million for her income tax deficiency for the year 2002, added with an additional 20 percent interest every year as tax penalty and deliquency interest.

Judy Ann Santos case started from her alleged inaccurate declaration of income derived from her talent fees, movies and product endorsements for taxable year 2002 in her Annual Income Tax Return filed with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
