One of the most popular Senator of the Republic of the Philippines, Senator Meriam Defensor-Santiago attacked personally her fellow senators although she did not mention any names but referring to Senate Pres. Juan Ponce Enrile.
During a lecture for a Charter Change Symposium in Centro Escolar University (CEU), Santiago criticized Enrile for supposedly using the Senate’s savings as “Christmas Gifts” to senators.
The Ilonggo-speaking Harvard graduate Senator expressed her disappointment and made some pick-up lines against Senator Juan Ponce Enrile.
The senator higlighted the fact that she did not get the P1.6 Million “Christmas Gifts,” billed as additional maintenance and other operating expenses (MOOE), which according to her how come you give additional maintenance and operating expenses when the senate is on vacation during the Christmas season.
