Sarah Geronimo from the Philippines was declared as the winner of the MAMA Best Asian Artist Philippines Award during the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA 2012).
This is the very first time that an artist from the Philippines was recognized by the prestigious organization. She was the first Filipino artist who achieved that feat.
Sarah have been reaping numerous awards this year such as the 25th Aliw Awards and the 25th Awit Awards.
