Two of the most prominent figures in the Philippine Azkals line-up, Phil and James Younghusband were not included in the final line-up submitted by the Philippine Football Federation to the organizers of the Philippine Peace Cup.
Phil and James Younghusband were always there for the Philippine Team since the resurgence of the Philippines in the Asian Football scene after they reached the semi-finals of the 2010 AFF Suzuki Cup.
The Younghusband brothers were instrumental also in the current rankings of the Philippine Football Federation. According to the official statement of the PFF, commitment is the primary concern why they dropped Phil and James in the current roster.
