As I researched the official website of ABS-CBN News official website, this is what I got (see the screenshot below). The question is that what happened to the Philippines largest media network? Have they forgot they renew their domain name. After a few minutes that it was offline, the ABS-CBN official website was back to normal.
According to the records from the domaintools.com, the abs-cbn.com domain was created on June 18, 1996. It was renewed today April 13, 2012. The expiry date will be on January 19, 2022.
Whatever happened to the official website of ABS-CBN, they should make an official statement regarding the matter. As an avid fan of ABS-CBN, I was surprised with the way the IT Department of ABS-CBN handling the situation.
As of these writing there’s no official statement yet from ABS-CBN regarding to the domain name problems encountered earlier.
One of the Philippines most popular blogger Yugatech posted on her Facebook account that the abs-cbn.com forgot to renew their domain.
