Boxing fans surely can’t wait for Saturday to come as the fight between the Philippines’ own Pound for Pound King Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico gets nearer.

The Mexican’s pride is certain that his new developed technique would become his weapon to defeat the eighth-time champion, Manny Pacquiao. But, the Filipino Champ believes that his acquired and more enhanced ability will be necessary to conclude this significant fight.

Marquez told reporters that this time, his style will be more difficult. Added to that, Marquez likewise believes that he is probably Manny’s most difficult opponent.

In their first bout dated May 2004, Marquez was knocked down three times but then had regained enough power to draw the fight. Four years after their first match, Pacquiao won the title known as the WBC super-featherweight. The so-called split decision seemingly raised several controversies although Pacquiao had knocked down Marquez during the Round 3 of the said fight.

Despite the obvious proof, Marquez, the Mexican boxer is still claiming that he defeated Pacquiao in both match. During the promotion of their upcoming fight, there were speculations saying that Manny felt offended when Marquez wore a shirt with a very catching phrase, “We Were Robbed”.

On the other hand, Pacquiao personally considers their November 12 match as a very significant fight. One reason could be the idea that his opponents believe it was them who won on two earlier matches.

This time, Pacquiao cautions that he will be surprised if Marquez would be expecting the same Pacquiao in terms of strategies and techniques on the upcoming match.

Given that Pacquiao’s improvement is expected, Marquez apparently shows no concern about such matter.
