AJ “Bazooka” Banal wins an impressive 8th round technical decision over Canadian Tyson Cave. The Filipino pugs have demonstrated his preparedness and unleashed his power punches to depend and finally retain his WBO Asia Pacific Bantamweight title. The fight was stopped due to accidental headbutt.
The fight was schedule to 12 rounds of professional boxing but due to the headbutt, it was stopped at the 8th round. The bout was held at the Hoops Dome Lapu-lapu City, in the central Philippine province of Cebu, the hometown of AJ Banal.
The final score was recorded at 73-79, 74078, and 74-78 all in favor for Banal. AJ Banal now improves his record to 25-1 with 17 KO’s. Meanwhile his opponent Tyson Cave was dropped to 15-2 with 5 KO’s.
