An accident happened in western Wisconsin River last Saturday after two boats has collided which resulted to 2 dead and 2 more missing.

According to the authorities who responded to the scene, both of the boats were running with a speed of more than 20 mph thus the collision of the two has made a big impact. The smaller speedboat was swept away to the side of the river shore of Chippewa while the bigger one was found half-mile away.

A flat-bed princecraft boat which is the bigger one is carrying six people who were celebrating that time a weekend wedding. Police authorities said that they have already arrested the Eau Claire man driver of the princecraft. On the other hand, the speedboat has only two p(–foul word(s) removed–)engers.

The two men who were reported dead were Matthew Overhauser, 27 years old and the driver of the speedboat Mark Michels, 50 while the two others missing are Luke Pohl and Matthew Simonson both p(–foul word(s) removed–)engers in Princecraft.

Other p(–foul word(s) removed–)engers of the two boats who were injured in the incident are currently treated in a local hospital including a 49-year-old woman from the speedboat.

Sheriffs department are now looking to the angle that the possible collision of the two boats were caused by alcohol drinking.

Saturday night when the rescue operation being done by the Crew Search authorities to the two others missing has been stopped due to bad weather which made it difficult to the team to search through the waters because of the strong river current and other factors.
