Azkals promises to do their best in tonight’s match against Kuwait

Despite being the underdogs, Philippine football team Azkals has promised their Filipino fans that they will show a good game in their upcoming match against Kuwait.

The second leg of the AFC 2014 World Cup Qualifiers against Azkals and Kuwait will be happening on July 23, 2011 at the Qadsia Stadium in Kuwait.

The ticket in the said match is almost sold out and it is expected that the whole stadium will be full of football fans. Qadsia has a big seating capacity and with estimated 15,000 Kuwaiti will watch the game.

On the other hand, about 4,000 Filipino fans have also bought tickets in the game which cost 1 to 3 Kuwaiti dinar or 155 to 900 pesos just to show their support to the Philippine pride.

The Azkals has already arrived in Kuwait and they were able to practice once in the venue of the game. The weather in the stadium is very hot but this factor won’t hinder the Azkals to show a good fight for they have already prepared for this.

Before their game against Kuwait, the Philippine football team has arranged a friendly game against the Olympic team in Bahrain which serves as part of their practice for their upcoming match against Kuwait.

However, the team captain of the Azkals, Aly Boromeo won’t be playing in the game after the FIFA, football’s world governing body did not approved the appeal of the Philippines to removed the suspension to the two members of the Azkals.

In one of the interview to Chieffy Caligdong, he said that as the co-team captain of Azklas he (–foul word(s) removed–)ured that he will stand for his team and made sure that each member will be performing their best to win this game.

Azkals vs Kuwait match will be aired in the Kapamilya Network, ABS-CBN on July 23 at 11:30 PM (Philippine Time).
