Katy Perry earns nine nominations for MTV VMA

katy perryWithin ten minutes of opening the ticket last Saturday (July 16) for the anticipated iHeartRadio Music Festival to be held September 23 and 24 at Las Vegas, the tickets are then declared “sold-out.” And this is indeed something that the organizers are proud of.

This first-ever iHeartRadio Music Festival is in line to the official launch of the newest digital radio product that combines the 750 broadcast radio across the 150 cities.

The powerhouse performers who will be part of the concert includes Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Pead, Kelly Clarkson, Bruno Mars,Jennifer Hudson, and Alicia Keys to name a few.

NEW YORK- Katy Perry had proven that she got all the “Firework” for earning nine nominations for the upcoming MTV VMA (Video Music Award) to be held on August 28.

No one can stop Katy Perry in achieving and reaping the fruits of all her hard works. She is the singer behind the hits “California Girls”, the very wonderful “Firework” and her latest single “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” that is rocking the chart.

As she hosted the very special announcement of MTV Video Music Awards nomination, she had garnered nine nominations for her “Firework” alone that also includes the nomination for

“video of the year” while her star-studded music video for “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) which also showcased the singer of “Friday”, Rebecca Black is set to be one of the competing videos for the “Best Pop Video” category.

Aside from Perry, other big names in the international music scene had established and earned nomination for other categories.

U.K’s one of the leading singers and recording artists Adele got seven nominations and is sharing the same number with Kanye West. Furthermore, Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” will compete against Perry.

Aside from Adele and Katy Perry who are vying for “video of the year”, other names and videos are also set to join the competition as reported by the (–foul word(s) removed–)ociated Press, and they are Bruno Mars (Grenade); Tyler (Yonkers) and Beastie Boys (Make Some Noise).

Adding to the list of the multiple nominees, aside from Bruno Mars are the very popular Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Eminem.

Los Angeles will be the location for this year’s MTV VMA.
