Famous Canadian singer Shania Twain was surprised after she was given her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The announcement was made last Thursday and the singer said that she is very much honored because her journey and contribution to the entertainment industry as a singer was given recognition.
According to Shania Twain, she cannot believe that a simple girl like her will be given such honor and said that this happening in her life can be considered as a miracle.
Together with her who received a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame is Bo Derek, which is a renowned actress. They were the 2,442nd celebrities who were given an honor to have a star in the famous sidewalk of Hollywood Boulevard.
Shania Twain is known for having such an angelic voice and having countless number of hits in the 90’s including the timeless song “You’re Still the One” that until now is still in the hearts and the mind of every people.
Twain was a typical girl who was born in Windsor, Ontario. She has two siblings and they were adopted by their step father, Jerry Twain where she got her name. At a young age, Shania’s parents died in a car accident.
Shania started to sing when she was 13 years old and she does this to help her family. She was seen fist in the Television when she sung to the “Tommy Hunter Show” in Canada.
The Canadian singer first released her album in the year 1993 and got her big break in 1995 when she releases her 2nd album entitled ‘The Woman In Me” which sold more than 12 million copies. She also received number of awards in Grammy including the best country album in 1996.
