After the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton last Friday, the two are now given the title as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

In the statement released coming from the Buckingham Palace, They have confirmed that the queen has today been pleased to award a dukedom to Prince William of Wales. From now on Prince William will be entitled as the Duke of Cambridge, Earl of Strathearn and Baron Carrickfergus.

The Palace announced that Starting from now His Royal Highness Prince Williams will become the Duke of Cambridge, thus making his wife Her Royal Highness Kate Middleton as the Duchess of Cambridge.

In the tradition of the Royal blood, every royal groom has to received at least one tile on their wedding day and automatically his bride to be will take them on by default.

Kate being entitled as the duchess, she will automatically be the Princess William of Wales, adopting the previous title of his husband Prince William.

However, since Kate is not born a princess in her own right, she will not be officially called as Princess Catherine, although she was already being known to this title in the media, just like Princess Diana, William’s late mother.
