Alyson Hannigan is Joining ‘American Reunion’

Another ‘American Pie’ star is ready to reprise her role in Universal Pictures forthcoming film ‘American Reunion’. Alyson Hannigan, who played Michelle Flaherty in first two American pie films and became  Jim’s (Biggs) wife in American Wedding, is confirmed for the next film of American Pie franchise,
reported the Deadline.

Alyson’s return for the ‘American Reunion’ was doubted because of the scheduling problems, as the actress has also signed for TV comedy series ‘How I Met Your Mother’. Now it is planned that she will complete the film’s shooting before she returns to CBS sitcom ‘How I Met your Mother’.

Other stars from previous American Pie films: Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, Chris Klein, Eugene Levy, Tara Reid and Mena Suvari are already confirmed for the new film. A few days ago the possible plot details were revealed by What’s Playing. According to it, in the fourth American Pie film the gang is returning to East Great Falls for their 10 -year high school reunion.

Things are changed for every character this time. Oz (Chris Klein) is a rich person who owns a Malibu mansion. Mia, who is his girlfriend, will also join him at the reunion. His ex Heather (Mena Suvari) will come up with her new date; a middle-aged surgeon who always tries to show younger. Steve Stifler (Seann William Scott) isn’t doing well and is working as a temp for a cruel boss who calls him his ‘(–foul word(s) removed–)’. His mom (Jennifer Coolidge) will appear in new film.

Michelle (Alyson Hannigan) and Jim (Jason Bigg) will be seen as married couple once again. Their neighbor Kara is having a crush on Jim and Kara’s boyfriend Marco doesn’t like it. In the meantime, Jim sex tape with Shannon Elizabeth’s Nadia will go viral on YouTube. Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas) is an international traveler and is dating a bartender Trisha this time.

Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg are directing and screen writing the project. The film is planned to release on January 7, 2012 in USA.
