The March 23 performance of Thia Megia a Phil-Am singer was really spectacular during the during American Idol Motown night, Wednesday.
Thia chose a better song compared to her songs in her previous weeks. It was a more lovely and upbeat music.
She sang “Heatwave”, a popular song by by ‘Martha and the Vandellas’, Thia made a right choice and that made her qualified to the next round.
Due to the unanimous decisions of judges Jennifer Lopez, Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler she will be able to compete again. According to the judges, Thia really came out of her shell and didn’t hesitate to take the risks.
Judge Jennifer said WOW! at Thia’s stunning performance, She was really impressed and thankful that Thia finally come up with a new song which is in a new genre but added that she must go on deeper every week to stay in the competition. Jennifer also said that seeing a 16 years old girl singing and performing like that was really awesome.
Judge Randy agreed with Jennifer’s comment, “That is the reason you’re here, because we knew you had it within you right? The people are definitely resounding with that, because you’ve been here every week.”
Randy just like Jennifer was impressed with the performance by Thia and said that her performance is something different from her previous one and advised to take some chances and continue to shine in the contest.
However, Judge Steven said a very brief but sweet comment,“I love it. You’ve taken a step out, it’s great! I’m good. I’m good with it.”
