Finally a good news for Canada as the visa of their vice-captain plus 2 other Pakistan-born Canadian players have been granted with the Visas to play the World Cup matches in India.
The team has left the gulf to attend training camp before the World Cup having 3 Pakistan-Born players still in doubt of their fate for the cricket World Cup this month. But since Visas have been granted to the players, their moral is not boosted and they will try their level best at least to make it to the Quarter Finals. But before they do, they have a couple of warm-up matches to go before they face Sri Lanka in their first match for the cricket world cup 2011.
President of Canadian Cricket team (–foul word(s) removed–)ociation, Ranjit Saini said that Canada’s preparation is already turmoil and it won’t be a surprise if they still fail to qualify for Quarter Finals this time as well. He kept on informing various media sources that this issue from India has literally damaged the training sessions of the team. However, the team itself is still positive now then the visas have been granted.
But then again, Canada has got a lot of time for their first match in India that they will play vs Zimbabwe on 28th of February 2011.
Canada is the only team who is one of the weakest team in the world-cup being most oldest team of the tournament, whereas all other ancient teams either have already won world cup or they are favorites to win this year’s world cup, that includes: Pakistan, India, England, Australia and West Indies.
Despite of their spoiled history in world cup, they are still positive and was really disappointed when visas were not being granted to them and finally a sigh of relief upon the decision that they will finally be granted with the visas. It simply shows that this year’s world cup is not going to be biased about Australia’s roaring match winning players, but this time Australia will be facing plenty of talented and well in form teams like South Africa, England, Sri Lanka, and India. Of course one can not forget unpredictable Pakistan, who can do anything at anytime when it is extremely leased expected.
So to sum up then, the bottom line is that Canada is now a happy team and they will finally prepare for World Cup without any obstacle remaining in their pathway. We hope that the team does well this time and at-least they do indeed qualify for the Quarter finals -which in itself will be a great news for all the Canadian cricket fans and a shocking surprise for rest of the cricket fans.
